Change Well Project is excited to launch a new training to help your housing program advance and deepen your understanding and practice of Housing First. Housing First is a philosophy, an effective practice in homeless services, and in California, a state law.
What will you learn?
We’ve made significant progress since the days when individuals had to prove they were "housing ready" and housing was seen as a reward rather than a fundamental human right. However, our implementation of Housing First principles isn’t always consistent.
The Advancing Housing First (AHF) series consists of four self-paced courses: AHF Introduction, Policies, Programs, and Practices. These courses capture key lessons learned over the years about applying the core tenets of Housing First.
By participating in this series, you will learn how to fully implement Housing First in your programs and translate this knowledge into effective practices. Housing First has consistently proven to be effective, and this series will equip you to assess how your organization has adopted its principles. You'll gain valuable insights and tools to deepen your program’s implementation of Housing First, ensuring it delivers the greatest possible impact.
Who may Attend?
The Advancing Housing First e-learning series is intended for county and tribal CDSS-HHD grantees and subcontracted agencies that run housing programs funded through the following CDSS Housing & Homelessness Division Programs:
-
